I am approaching 34 years of life( I’m just as shocked as you) I have made some major skin mistakes in my younger days, but it’s funny how you really don’t care until you start seeing the effects from your mistakes.
My skin care needs change, especially with my pregnancies it can go really dry or really oily, but these tools have been consistent in their effects.
I want to preface with, this post is NOT sponsored. I have paid for with my own money these tools.
These four are my tried and true products I recommend to everyone, with any skin type.
MICRO NEEDLING I am sure you are seeing it all over. I was a skeptic, and scared to try something that seemed so scary. It’s NOT. It doesn’t hurt and it has dramatically changed my skin. I use it almost every single night. Its quick and I know that my expensive night lotion is getting its moneys worth.
Why did I choose the GloPRO. Well I was lucky, I had some Nordstrom points, gift cards and extra Christmas money to splurge on the Rose Gold set, but there are less expensive options and after all the reviews I read the GloPro promised the most. I wish I could buy everyone this tool because it is THE BEST
Here is the science behind it.
GloPRO®’s patented technology stimulates skin’s natural healing response to induce micro-rejuvenation deep within the skin. As MicroTips™ pass over the skin, the rejuvenation process begins immediately as cells respond to imperceptible microchannels by restoring volume from the inside out. Red LED light function and VibroTactile Stimulation™ work synergistically to enhance regenerative skin benefits. The result is a visibly firmer, smoother, younger-looking appearance. Used alone or as a companion to your favorite serums and creams, this youth-promoting tool magnifies the benefits of key anti-aging ingredients making absorption easier while enhancing overall skincare performance.
PMD MICRODERMABRASION If you haven’t heard or seen this year, let me introduce you to great facialist. Dermabrasion is great for your skin. This tool is basically the same as getting it done at a spa. I do this about 2x a month. I even use it on my feet! If you suffer from Keratosis pilaris this could dramatically help. I had a friend who had those embarassing red bumps on her arms and this pretty much cured it. Its not just a tool for your face which I love. The process of using this is a little more complicated but once you learn how to properly use it you’re set for life! It also comes with a dvd to show you.

TWINKLE RAZOR If you are not shaving your face then you are not living your best life! We ALL have that peach fuzz on the side of our face and neck, and if you don’t, then play the lottery because you are lucky! If you have facial hair and it doesn’t bother you, get on with your bad self. Removing facial hair isn’t mandatory. For me, it was something I wanted but didn’t want to have to wax or doing anything harsh.
It makes your makeup go on smoother, gives you a glow, and because it’s a razor, you’re physically exfoliating your skin — great for anti aging! Why do you think men look so youthful as they age? They shave a majority of their lives!
It doesn’t grow back black or stubbly! It actually comes back blond and soft. The hair on my face was never black or stubbly, thus it will not grow back that way.
Make sure you are doing it on DRY, cleaned skin. I like to use witch hazel and a moisturizer afterwards. You are exfoliating your skin so it will feel a little dry.
I do this 1x a month, more if I’m feeling fancy 😉
Ps. I found that Kate Somerville was a proponent of facial shaving
MIRCOFIBER TOWELS After I wash my face and before I use the GloPRO, I use these towel to pretty much dry my face. I get it completely wet in HOT water and squeeze it out, then wipe my face. It gets any extra makeup missed or dirt. I really feel like these are major game changer in how my skin has improved.
