I have seen these splurge vs steal posts on various fashion blogs. I love them, but sadly they aren’t really true. A splurge for me isn’t $1,000 and a steal is $400?! Are you kidding me!?
A splurge to me is more like $100.00. I usually buy on sale or through discount sites. A steal for me is more of a Target price with a designer look. I have high dollar tastes but no budget for it. It’s important to invest in staple shoes like black and nude, and shoes that will last. If you’re like me and can’t afford to spend $745 on hot pink studded heels then I have found some great sites that offer those trendy shoes we want, are good quality for a price ANYONE can afford. This is a REAL splurge vs Steal post!
I fell in love with a pair of Kate Spade floral leather print shoes, but there was no way I could justify spending $328. Especially when they really can’t be worn all year round. They are adorable and the print is perfect for spring! Shoe Dazzle just came out with these cute floral printed heels for only $39.00. I have several pairs of shoes from Shoe Dazzle and for the price you get a good quality shoe.
Christian Louboutin is the king of high heels. He makes shoes for queens who have a vault full of money and jewels. And they are so beautifully made. The red sole screams, “I spent my whole paycheck on these”! My dream is to own a pair but I don’t know if I can spend my hard earned dollars on them.
I have seen quite a few bloggers wearing fake Loubs and linking them to the real site. It’s cheating so don’t be fooled. The quality of these fakes are terrible. They photograph decent, but in person anyone can tell they’re knock-offs. These shoes are seriously the closest thing to the “style” but without the red sole. They are very comfortable and were even worn, get this..to the GOLDEN GLOBES! Maybe they were worn by a cute makeup artist, but you can literally say these shoes walked the red carpet. The site, Lola Shoetique, has quite a few trendy shoes. You know, the kind you don’t wear to church, but wear out on the town!
The coveted Rock Stud heels and flats are on the scene everywhere. I personally think the neon colored ones are the best and I swore they would be a “so last year” shoe in 2015. But they are still very popular. The 2015 collection is all pastels and bright colors. I am sure these won’t be going away for a LONG time. So if you love these, Amazon sells amazing copy-cat styles for $55. That may seem steep, but the quality is better when compared to Forever 21 and other sites. You can read the reviews and see for yourself.
Happy Tuesday! Thanks for reading!
