Rachel Parcell’s, Pink Peonies, is a fun blog to read and the designs she models are lovely. As I’ve shared before, a lot of my inspiration comes from other fashion blogs and web sites. I have been following Rachel Parcell since her debut. Her outfits have a very classic look and she captures them nicely in her pictures. Unfortunately, I can only mostly, wish for those clothes. Although beautiful, they are usually very high end.
This amazing outfit was shown in one of Mrs. Parcell’s previous posts. Something in my little fashionista heart said, “I think there are pieces in my closet that are similar”. The wheels started turning and I put together an outfit as pretty and as pink.
It’s not an exact copy but the color and sweet style are the same. This skirt is soft and feminine and this shirt with the little Peter Pan collar compliments this look. My philosophy that you can look classy on a modest budget is so evident here. I found this skirt at the online shop, Dorothy Perkins. It’s a wonderful stop for finding reasonably priced clothes and they always have sales.
Adding classic pieces of clothing to your existing wardrobe helps you create your own original outfit even if inspired by someone else’s style.
I hope my blog will inspire you to make pretty outfits with pieces already in your closet. Perhaps tips from one of my posts will guide you to shop smarter and purchase items that can be versatile and expand your wardrobe.
