I regret the day I chopped my hair. I really do. I loved having long hair. I could do so much more with it long but I got that bug, you know the one, and thought why don’t I cut it? At least I didn’t get bangs. Oh wait, I did. Sort of. Side bangs that take FOREVER to grow out.
My hair hates me. It just isn’t growing! A trim just seems to keep it the same length. I contemplated getting extensions, the kind you sew into your hair. But $500?? Then I looked into clip-in hair extensions. Those cheap pieces that snap into your hair but you need to buy several so you don’t end up looking like this:
So I gave up.
Just kidding, I never quit!
A friend of mine who is a hairstylist showed me photos of hair extensions you don’t clip, sew, glue or nail into your head. They are called Halo Couture Extensions.
It’s basically a row of hair attached to what they call a Miracle Wire. You place it an inch or so behind the hair line at the back of your head and flip your hair over it. It’s so easy. Just what I was looking for!

Here is my before picture.
Here is after with the Halo Couture Extension 12 inch.
I am in love. It makes my hair full, thick and adds so much volume. I feel like I have hair again. It literally takes 10 seconds to put it in. I usually curl my hair so I curled my extensions a couple of days ago. I didn’t want to straighten for these photos, but you can’t even tell the difference!
They are so light weight.
You can’t see the clear string that holds both sides together but that’s the point. When you wear it, no one can see it on your head.
I highly recommend these if you’re in the market for extensions. There are other more expensive brands and I’ve not used any of them, but I do know I like things simple and smart. And no tutorial is needed. Put it on and style your hair. Just like that. EASY!
I get the best of both worlds. When I want some longer locks I have my extensions. When I want to go au naturel I’ll wear my hair short. When my hair decides to grow its little heart out, I will still use these extensions for volume because I have very fine hair.
