The idea of a brand new bathing suit is a beautiful dream. The reality of finding one can be a long, long, long day of trying on piles of them in front of those circus warped mirrors. You’re lucky if one fits, is flattering and doesn’t have giant flower, odd color prints or black & white checks.
Sometimes we just settle.
When I saw this suit I wondered if my expectations were too high and I would look like a little kid in a grown-up suit. My expectations were not too high. This swim suit is so vintage in this creamy ivory color with pretty, pretty princess seams. The lacy look and pretty ruffles on the décolleté are so feminine. Such a refreshing change from so many lolly-pop colors on the beach.
Below the are some fabulous suits on my radar all under $100!
Swim Suit: Juicy Couture Sandals: Valentino Real / Inspired Sunglasses: Dolce & Gabbana Necklace: Kate Spade Brin&Bell Earrings: Nordstrom Swim Cover: Calypso St. Barth

Coronado beach reminds me of older times. Hotel Del opened in 1888 and was the largest resort in the world. When you’re on the beach you’re walking with the ghosts of Mae West, Charlie Chaplin, past presidents and countless others. And bikinis didn’t even exist!
There is just something majestic about a sunset on the beach. It’s what some only dream of, and I only experience occasionally.
