Red is romance, love, danger, courage and sacrifice. It’s notably the red carpet and Marilyn Monroe’s lips. It’s the little red dress that should be hanging by your black one for those romantic occasions. It’s the color that turns heads when you walk through the door. It’s a warning, the dozen roses, it’s in those fiery sunsets and it’s particularly in our flag.
As we approach the 4th of July, our flag is where our thoughts turn, to honor the courage and sacrifice that was the American Revolution. What better way then to wear bright red that pops like the fireworks we’ll be watching on Friday and hearing them echo all over the country!
And what is more American than Coca Cola?! More water is better but who can resist this familiar shaped bottle and red logo for icy drinks on the 4th? Plus rocking a Marilyn Monroe red lipstick that leaves smudges on cheeks, your cold drink glass and my husband’s white button down dress shirt!
Today’s outfit is all stripes and fire engine red pants. See? There’s even a red stripe on my favorite Keds with my signature gold dots.
