Remember when we were kids, the 4th of July marked the beginning of summer’s end. There are no celebrations or holidays until September. It’s the weeks of not thinking much, finishing up vacations, of muggier days, and cooler nights sitting on Grandma’s porch swing.
With the monsoon season hitting Vegas and the evening temperatures dropping to a cool 84 degrees, you can be outside without sweating and eat what you eat in summer, ice cream!!
As a kid, bringing out the familiar Klondike “the Original” ice cream bars was a summer tradition. We would eat the chocolate first, sliding the pieces from the bar and then eat the creamy ice cream. But guess what? Klondike has come out with Klondike Kandy Bars!
Enjoying this new frosty treat with a friend carries on this summer tradition. Instead of the front porch, we unfolded the lawn chairs, put on our favorite itunes, shared our favorite magazines and did the girlie thing, painted our nails!
“What would you doooOOOOo for a Klondike”? How familiar a question is that? Apparently, all Duke thinks he has to do is charm us with his irresistible puppy eyes.
This pup literally begged on our laps for some of our frozen treats!
Good girlie music on repeat was just what we needed! Taylor loved the fudge bars, I had to taste them all to decide. Jury’s still out, how do you pick just one!?
Look at the gooey chocolate layer, yum!
The sad face of disappointment, we tried to make up for it by painting his nails. He still wasn’t amused!
Thanks for reading, and let me know if you try these how much you love them!
