Blue’s true color is that of the sky. There are few people who do not like blue and how can you not when the prettiest part of any day is just blue? We long for clear skies covered in gray clouds, raining for just one depressing day too many (poor Seattle). We can’t make out imaginary cloud shapes if a clear sky isn’t their background.
If I’m putting you to sleep I’ve done my job describing blue in all it’s blue soothing glory. Without it the billions of colors would turn our brains into a chaotic nightmare. There are so many references to blue: Blue Moon, The Blues as in music and mood, Make my Brown Eyes Blue, Blue Hawaii, Sacre Bleu!!! You can just go on forever. Blue is one popular word and color.
Blue is one of the colors in what will always be known as “Old Glory” our Red, White and Blue flag. Red the color of fire, white pristine as snow and blue is trust, loyalty, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven. Okay, blue, you carry a great weight on your shoulders.
And you rock my bright blue pants, in my white “anchors away” shirt accentuated with my red firework flower necklace. I’m excited to see those chrysanthemum sparkly displays!
The 4th of July is tomorrow. Wear your most patriotic colors. Show off, be proud of our marvelous country. Be red, white and blue. But wear cool accessories and fabulous shoes. And remember your Marilyn Monroe red sultry lip color. (Make ’em dark!)
