I’m always in love with a certain dress, a particular style of sandal, heels or an amazing shirt. But we fall out of love. There is always the next brilliant style and there I go again.
But this dress…this time it’s the real thing!
Shopping in stores is on the top of my detest list. Harsh but true. If you want to do any kind of decent shopping here in Vegas you have to travel to the strip, hunt for parking, struggle through waves of tourists without being shoved under and suffocated. Bring your shovel because the digging starts. Trying to find your size in those overstuffed racks is a test of strength. There’s the trek to the fitting room, the wait in line behind women who actually have piles of clothes in their size which means I get to wait and wait and wait. Trying on clothes messes your hair, smudges your lipstick, the dress is too big and gasp! Too small!!? I’m done. Done. Done. AND ON TOP OF THE INSULT…no Coke Zero. They don’t do Coca Cola products in the malls or casinos. I’m ten thousand times done.
Sorry…rant is over.
On the other side I used to hate online shopping. Go figure. But then websites got smarter, are now as appealing and lovely as walking into Neiman Marcus. Just sit in cool air conditioning, play your favorite music and you’re there.
We all have our addictions so no judgement here. Shopping online is mine. I always buy on sale with free shipping, plus a coupon, and double plus – I can search by size and pass up the disappointment of finding something that will never be in stock in my size. I’m not happy with disappointment, not happy at all. I mean when it comes to clothes and I don’t get my fix…not pretty.
Ok, ok, back to the dress.
As I said, I’m in love. Most definitely you will need this dress. Not in stores (after my rant you are more than sure about that), the price is hard to resist ($48), free shipping and it’s arguably “the” dress so far. The quality is great, the fit is better. The length goes past my knees, has sleeves and comes in a range of pretty colors.
It’s totally versatile, classic and can’t go out of style. Your closet is waiting, my friends. There’s no surprise I chose pink but I would love all the colors. Next choice – black. You can really dress this one up or less or sideways. Think trendy cardigan (trendy because cardigans can be stuffy) that goes casual, or up with multi-colored higher heels and all with contrasting accessories. Go bright, go gold like classy pink and shiny gold flats. Dress less with flip-flops, a cute floppy straw sun hat perfect for beach combing. It all works.
Look at the pictures below. It’s perfect.
This dress runs small, the fabric hugs, so order a size up to be cautious.
