It finally arrived! The foundation I’ve patiently been waiting for or maybe not so patiently. I’m excited to wear it and show you the results.
With one of my besties, I recently went to the bareMinerals store where she tried the new bareSkin liquid foundation, loved it and of course, bought it!
Thanks to Collectively, I am able to try this and give you my honest opinion.
Reading review after review these past months about this AAAhh-mazing liquid foundation, I was very skeptical. I mean, could something really be this great? Having really oily skin, (do i sound like a broken record yet with that comment?) I have a hard time finding anything that doesn’t make my skin greasy in about three seconds. I use Becca’s Mattifiying Primer and Make Up Forever’s Skin & Body Makeup religiously. I’ve been happy with this regimen, it’s working for me just fine and I have not been searching for a new foundation. When this showed up on my doorstep, I wondered, would this be the first negative review?
Not today! This foundation is a very good product. The application was easy with no streaking contrary to some reviews I’ve read. I recommend using less to start, if it’s not enough you can layer. On my first try, I used a bit too much but even after a couple of hours, it still looked good. I really like this foundation but it’s a bit too creamy for my skin to be my everyday foundation. It will be more suitable for winter when my skin is dryer. Due to my extremely oily skin its hard to keep product on my face longer than three hours without feeling like an oil slick.
Here are my before and after photos. I guarantee these photos have not been photoshopped.
It’s very sheer and a small amount gives you good coverage. The color is light/medium and needs to be set with either a powder or a mineral veil. The foundation held onto my blush and bronzer all day. I recommend this product if you have dry/normal skin. Primers are a must and I repeat..use sparingly!
The brush was my favorite. I love putting foundation on with a brush, but always experienced streaking and uneven applications. This brush is lovely. I encourage you to purchase the brush with the foundation.
Happy Hump Day!
