Everybody remembers Seinfield, either the TV show, the man or otherwise. If you didn’t watch The Seinfeld show, you don’t have to keep reading. But in my humble opinion, you missed some great TV.
If you are still with me, let me refresh your memory about something in the show.
Elaine worked for The J. Peterman Company, owners of a clothing catalog. I thought it was a made-up company, until a friend told me it was real. REAL? I immediately checked it out.
The site is very charming and rings true to the nature of the show. For instance this dress is called “She Does Dress”. The description is as follows, mind you this is just for a dress!
“Does she control the temperature with her smile? Does she love jogging in Nantucket summer winds? Make beautiful things with her hands at her atelier on Bleecker Street? Take long rides on her red 3-speed? Doesn’t she like to cook, clean or wait? Doesn’t she like car chases in movies with little to no dialogue? Doesn’t she have a man who will read this far about a dress to understand I made it for you? Doesn’t she have the brazen independence to take charge?
Yes, I believe she does.”
This dress obviously spoke to me. Not only is the dress beautifully crafted, it is so classic it can be worn in several seasons.
