I am hosting Thanksgiving for a few of the family this year at my house.
With that usual preparations and pressure I am stressing out, decorations, table setting, food…. and space!!
But in the midst of all the stress I wanted to slow down and remind myself of the things I am really thankful for.
I saw this idea here: Thankful Banner
I decided to make it on my own!
I bought some pre-cut banner tags at Hobby lobby and some Martha Stewart Glitter and a stencil kit (finally an excuse to purchase that beloved glitter set) and got to work.
It was very time consuming as I had to glue paper to the banner peices and then sand off the edges so that I got a clean edge.
Then stencil each letter to spell out THANKFUL.
I then added ribbon to only a few letters and stuck on some leaves that were made from a cricut… WA-LA!
It was hard for us to fill the 35 leaves, I only did 4 strands, but each year we will add to it.
Next year and more time it will look a lot more polished.
I am thankful for all the bloggers, mommies and talented people out there to give me such brilliant ideas!
