Who the heck is Chaz Dean? Is he channeling Derek Zoolander? Do I detect “the smolder”
from Tangled? If you haven’t seen that charming Disney animated movie, just think fairy tail, I mean tale.
Which leads me right into my…..
I want hair like Rapunzel. For all the years in that tower she didn’t once wash her hair. Well, she
couldn’t. What is it about that woman who could walk through fen and forest, be a hair elevator
and not get a speck of dirt or any living creatures in that looooong, magical, naturally blond hair.
I hate her.
Switching gears and thinking philosophically, everything changes as we get older. It takes more
to keep in shape, we have to give up more carbs and sugar every year, gravity takes it’s toll, everything changes. Even hair.
I’ve been on a hair journey. I wake up one morning, my hair feels like it’s slowly disintegrating.
I touch it, it feels brittle enough to give me slivers. But, I have always had oily, fine hair. This is
a dilemma. How can oily hair feel brittle?
Well…did you know that daily washing can cause oils to be stripped too quickly from your hair?
That’s where brittle comes from. To make up for the loss, your hair can become even oilier. If
you have naturally greasy hair, it’s recommended that you only wash it every 2-3 days. I’ve gone
as long as three days but I don’t particularly like it. I’ve tried dry shampoo but it feels heavy and
there’s no natural feeling or swing.
Years ago I saw a product called Wen on an “infomercial”. Infomercial! It brings to mind Ron
Popeil and Ronco. He was the one that invented spray paint for bald spots. Yikes! However,
lately, I’ve seen a lot of activity centered around this “amazing” hair care product. The reviews
or actually, the reviews I’ve read, raved about this non-shampoo.
cleanser” and to his discredit a great job of setting up an automatic payment scheme that literally
steals money from you before you even have a chance to cancel within the 60 day money-back
guarantee. But I digress.I thought, can this Wen stuff really be THAT good? As stated above, it has a 60 day money-back
guarantee for $29.99. I gave over my credit card number to the twilight zone that is Chaz’s
billing department. I actually received the product sooner than, what I have since found, is not the
norm. Many people had to wait two weeks to receive it.
The first time I used it, my hair was full and felt great all day! But in the next few weeks my
hair began to feel greasy and weighed down. I did not deviate from the instructions so I was
perplexed. Chaz! What’s this all about??? I stuck it out but wasn’t satisfied. I am eternally
grateful I didn’t lose any hair. I’ve read where many users were losing handfuls. Who can verify
that? I can’t but there are enough women commenting, I feel a little worried about this side
effect.
Back to the automatic payment. I hate auto-payments and when you aren’t happy with a product
and the company won’t refund your money it turns into auto-pay-rage. It was war. I fought with
them for a refund and shipped it back. I will NEVER involve myself in this kind of scam again.
My pet peeve is and always will be, not being able to try before I buy. What Chaz does is send
products, promises a guarantee, makes it close to impossible to cancel and get a refund for the
auto payment they took out before it was time. Obviously businesses who do this are not
confident in their products so they don’t allow samples.
Therefore, I am offering someone a chance to try a free bottle of the cleanser. You may love it! You may hate it! Either way I know you’ve been dying to see what its all about just like I did.
